Retired in 2017, executed first downsize. In 2019, after losing our geriatric fur babies, we downsized again to two carryon's, two backpacks and put sentimental items in 5x10' storage. We set off to travel the world in Jan 2020 - gah! Quickly decided to return to PNW to wait out the pandemic. We owned two rental properties when we set off - Playa Del Carmen, Mexico; and Duquesa, Spain. We spent 5 months in PDC, then really set off on our world nomadic journey. After selling our Spain property (we had planned to winter there each year, but plans change) we are now full time nomads, and loving it. We are happy you're here!

Mexico, Puerto Rico, Transatlantic Cruise, Spain

October 2021 - June 2022  •  236 days

We left our rental property in Playa del Carmen, Mexico to begin our travels. First stop, San Juan Puerto Rico. Visited Old Town and boarded Viking Sea for our transatlantic cruise to Barcelona. Stops at St Maarten (we didn't disembark as we'd been there), Cadiz, Valencia, and cruise ended in Barcelona. We spent a few days exploring Barcelona, and Madrid, before taking the fast train to Malaga and finally returning to our Spanish apartment in Duquesa, 3 years after we purchased it. Our biggest goal was to enjoy the apartment for a couple months while it was on the market for sale. We explored Andalucia (Granada, Ronda, Gibraltar, Estepona, Malaga) and plan to return some winter.
